To this end DinamiQs has developed a number of technologies that together and in combination with mainstream technologies create compelling solutions for the whole of the corporate IT landscape.

 

Desktop Virtualization

Extreme reduction in CPU and storage needs make VirtualStorm a revolutionary Desktop Virtualization concept. The constituent parts on top of existing best-of-breed technologies make deployment and management of Virtual Desktops and their applications a very easy, centralized task. One Operating System Image to manage, one central repository with applications to manage, one administrator to manage thousands of desktops. Application deployment in seconds (depending on the size of the application, eg Office 2007 takes all of 2 seconds to deploy.)

 

SBC enhancement

Some of the technologies used in VirtualStorm are also available for traditional Terminal Server and Citrix environments. Using these technologies increases the ease of application deployment on these platforms, allows for more concurrently run applications without the conflicts that often occur in such environments and reduces the number of memory errors that are often problematic in such systems.
In addition the DinamiQs Management Console allows for easy, remote managing of any applications deployed on these platforms.

 

Physical and Virtual end-point Management

Using the SMART agent on both physical and virtual end-points (XP images) allows for both centralized management through the DinamiQs Management Console, but it also hands the end-user self-provisioning powers for entitled applications (through membership of AD application groups) which the user can activate even without admin or power-user rights through elevated privileges. This adds layers of flexibility to the end-points, secures corporate applications and hands the end-user the ability to decide which applications to activate or de-activate, depending on needs.

 

AD management

From the DinamiQs Management Console the option is available to directly manage the Active Directory. In most use-cases this is disabled by default, however, the option is available upon installation of the Management Console.

 

Physical end-point deployment

The decision to move to a centralized model for centralized desktop deployment is sometimes difficult as it requires investments that were not planned, especially when moving to zero admin clients. This is why DinamiQs developed a high performance, small sized OS image that deploys in seconds on existing physical endpoints and that directly connects to a pre-defined central image or to a broker that will redirect the end-point to a free, available virtual desktop.

 

Virtual Hybrid Profiles

Use of profiles in any environment is challenging. Especially as these profiles grow and get transported throughout the enterprise. DinamiQs has developed technology that allows most profiles, especially those in a virtual environment, to remain in place, with the virtual XP (or Windows 7) images using the profile, but never actually transporting it. The only exceptions made are for physical endpoints that may lose connection to the network (eg laptops), which get their profiles downloaded fully (as well as their entitled applications.) Any reconnect to the network at a later time synchronizes the user's profile with the centrally stored profile.
